Killed By a Horse
Alfred Sprick, the youngest son of Hon. Henry Sprick of Fontanelle was killed by being thrown from a horse and the animal falling on him last Saturday. Mr. Sprick was rounding up some cattle when the horse he was riding stumbled and fell, throwing the young man to the ground and in some manner rolled on him. He was carried to his home and Doctors Haslem of Fremont and Deores of Fontanelle were immediately summoned and three operations were performed and everything done that could be done, but all to no avail. The young man died Tuesday morning. The funeral services were held from the residence of his parents and attended by a large number of his sorrowing friends and neighbors who came to pay their last respects to the dead. The bereaved parents and brothers and sisters have the sympathy of the entire community in their sad bereavement.
