January 23, 1913- Arlington Review Herald- J.W. Moore
Jas. W. Moore, an old resident of Arlington, died in Wahoo, Nebr. last Thursday evening, January 16, and his body was brought to Arlington Saturday morning and the funeral held from the M.E. church at 10:30 that morning; interment at the Arlington cemetery. The deceased was 68 years old and a native of North Carolina. He came to Nebraska in an early day and for several years resided at Elk City, coming to Arlington several years ago, where he ran a hotel until about seven years ago, when he left here for Wahoo, later going to Genoa. He remained at the latter place until January 1, when he returned to Wahoo as manager of the La Grande hotel. He has been a prominent figure in the hotel circles of the state for many years and had a host of friends in all parts of the west. He leaves a son and a daughter- H.K. Moore of Omaha and Mrs. E.H. Anderson of Holdrege.
