CLYDE M. ALLEN DIED FRIDAY
FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD TUESDAY AT EPISCOPAL CHURCH
Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Episcopal Church for Clyde M. Allen, 82 years of age, who died at his home at 1556 Grant Street Christmas Day evening.
Father Sam Elliston will officiate with interment in the Blair cemetery.
He was born on May 25, 1877, the son of Mr. and Mrs. William H. Allen, pioneer Washington County farmers who settled in the county when it was a territory. Mr. Allen farmed south of Blair until he moved to town in 1945.
Mr. Allen is survived by his wife, Eva May; one son, Pierce Allen of Blair; five daughters, Mrs. Leroy Keller (Peggy) of Scarsdale, New York; Mrs. Norman Tilden (Ruth) of Caracas, Venezuela, South America; Mrs. J.L. Caldwell (Margaret) of Burley, Idaho; Mrs. Charles Morton (Emily) of North Platte and Mrs. C.L. Busch (Alice) of Omaha; 17 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Allen’s first wife, Helen, died in 1934.
He was a member of the Ft. Calhoun Masonic Lodge.
Pallbearers will be nephews: Harold Shaffer, Homer Rotheny, W.A. Steavensen, R.M. Allen, Mac Allen and John Allen.
Campbell Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
