Rebecca L Schmit, age 71 of Kennard, passed away December 5, 2022.

Memorial visitation will be held Sunday December 11, 2022, from 3:30PM to 6:30PM at Campbell Aman Funeral Home in Blair. Graveside services will be held Monday December 12, 2022, at 10:00AM at the Kennard Cemetery.

Rebecca was born May 24, 1951, in Oakland, California, the daughter of George and Liania Anderson. She graduated from Omaha South High School in 1969. Rebecca was united in marriage to James Schmit on December 8, 1973, in Logan, Iowa, and the couple raised their 5 children in Kennard.

Rebecca is survived by her children; Heather Schmit, Jimmy (Kristin) Schmit, Sarah Schmit, Amanda (Leon) Brown, and Rachel (William) Johnson, grandchildren; Cheyenne, Wyatt, Brynlee, Bailey, Makenna, Emma and Rylie, sister Ginny Bojanski, brother Roger (Carol) Anderson and sister in law Jan Anderson.

She was preceded in death by her parents Liania Sheets and George Anderson, husband James and her brother Alan Anderson.
