Roger Lee Gilliland was born in Omaha, May
5, 1951 at Methodist Hospital. He died July 20,
2023, in Omaha.
Parents Edward (Jack) Mary
Ibsen Gilliland. Four sons, Shane, Washington;
Jesse, Washington; Brian (Risa), Michigan; Griffin (Frances), Washington; Two Step daughters
Angi (Chris) Olsen, Blair; Rachel Copper, Kansas;
Bothers Lyle (Angie), Oklahoma; Bruce, Blair;
Thomas, Blair; Sister Marsha, Blair. Twelve
Grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Roger was married to Connie (Kowalski) on Jan.
27, 2001. Roger worked in the maintenance field
for over 40 years in Washington State and Blair.
He retired from Washington County Courthouse
in 2011. He also spent many years working beside
his father Jack as a painter and many other
trades. His favorite hobby was fishing as well as
working in his work shed. Roger was a very kind
and caring person. He loved helping others. His
greatest Joy was being baptized this year, He said
he felt truly close to God.
Services will be held Tuesday Aug. 1 at 2 p.m.
at Jubilee Church 9502 Fort St. Omaha. Pastor
Anthony Odhiambo conducting services. A luncheon will follow in the fellowship area.
