Ann “Annie” Marie Egry, age 58 of Blair, NE left us too suddenly on October 31, 2023 at her home.
Annie was born July 30, 1965 in Altus, Oklahoma to Virginia (Dahlstrom) Headley and Joseph Egry III. She was always willing to lend a helping hand; this led her to the healthcare industry where she worked most of her life. She became a registered medical assistant in 1985, a certified nurse’s assistant in 2006 and later earned her bachelor’s degree in health science. Annie enjoyed working with animals and volunteered at the Brevard Zoo in Melbourne, Florida for many years. While in Florida, she spent her time on the beach, geocaching and kayaking. She also enjoyed reading, cooking, making stained glass and jewelry, researching family ancestry and baking cookies for her neighbors. Her greatest joy was traveling and spending time with family and friends as well as collecting stamps from all over the world for her granddaughter Brooklynn.
Annie is survived by her mother Virginia Headley, father Joseph (Arlene) Egry III, stepmother Meredith (F.J.) Colacino; husband Andrew O’Brien; stepchildren: Monica (Ryan) Eaton, Ronald (Stephanie) O’Brien, Valerie O’Brien, and Jamie (Chris) Holliday; grandchildren: Shauna, Justin, Cody, Zach, Hailie, and Brooklynn; great grandchildren: Axel, Elijah and Ayden; siblings: Paula (Celia Byrnes) Bailey, Joseph (Robyn) Egry IV, David Egry, Jill (Jack) Simmons, Jean Headley and half-brothers Michael (Ashley) Colacino and Jamie (Caitlin) Colacino; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
