William James Kelley, age 63 of Avoca, Iowa, passed away April 12, 2024. Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday April 19, 2024, at 10 a.m. at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Blair. Graveside services will follow in the Holy Cross Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday April 18, 2024, beginning at 4:30 p.m. and a Vigil Service at 7 p.m. at Campbell Aman Funeral Home in Blair.
Bill was born on April 11, 1961, in Blair, Neb., to Vivian (Miller) Kelley and Robert “Pat” Kelley. Bill attended Blair High School.
Bill was united in marriage to Angie Halligan Aug. 25, 1989. They have been married for almost 35 years.
Bill has worked in construction for many years, working in Texas, Virginia, Nebraska and Iowa. His last few years were with Hansen Contracting and Shorco. Bill was a hard worker and talented in many areas. He helped many people fix and build things, but we all know what his real passion was: fishing. The man lived and breathed for fishing.
He is survived by his wife Angie, his children: Kelsey Kelley (Kyle) and Dillon Kelley (Grace); siblings Debra Kelley, Patricia Kelley, Kitt Kelley, Matthew (Suzanne) Kelley, Robert “Bob” Kelley, John Kelley (Brenda) and Mark Kelley, along with many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert “Pat” Kelley and Vivian Kelley.
Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
