BLACK HAWK COUNTY, Iowa (KWWL) -- A man died in a fatal Black Hawk County two-vehicle crash on Highway 63 involving a tanker with anhydrous on Tuesday.
Iowa State Patrol has identified the driver as 37-year-old Ross Kessler of Mondamin.
Officials say that a 20-year-old man driving a Chevy traveling eastbound on Tama Road failed to yield after stopping at a stop sign. The Chevy struck the tanker, causing it to lose control and tip on its side in the ditch.
The driver of the Chevy has been identified as Joel Wildeboer of Cedar Falls.
Kessler, who was not wearing his seatbelt, died in the crash.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at 10 a.m., at First United Methodist Church in Blair, NE. Military graveside honors will follow in the Herman Cemetery. VISITATION: Monday, July 15th, from 5 to 8 p.m., at Campbell Aman Funeral Home.
Survived by wife, Amanda; children, Wade and Madison; parents, Larry and Brenda Kessler; many extended family and friends.
