MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: Tuesday, July 23 at 10 a.m. at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Blair. BURIAL: Holy Cross Cemetery in Blair. Luncheon following at the Blair American Legion. VISITATION: Monday, July 22, from 5 to 7 p.m., VIGIL at 7 p.m., at Campbell Aman Funeral Home, Blair.

Elizabeth “Beth” Ann Burge, age 91 of Blair, passed away July 15, 2024 at Nye Legacy in Fremont, NE.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Blair. Burial will follow in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Blair. A luncheon and time for fellowship will follow burial at the American Legion Post 154 in Blair. Visitation will be held Monday, July 22, from 5-7 p.m. with a vigil beginning at 7 p.m. at Campbell Aman Funeral Home in Blair.
Beth was born July 26, 1932, in Bancroft, Iowa, the daughter of Frank and Christine Welp. After graduating from Bancroft High School, she moved to Omaha and worked at the Union Pacific Railroad. With her many friends from the railroad, she traveled across the country.
On July 16, 1960, she married Jack Burge, an Omaha firefighter. In 1974, Jack and Beth and their children, Nancy and John, moved to Blair, NE. Beth enjoyed being a librarian in Omaha and at the Blair Library. She also volunteered at the Auxiliary Closet Thrift Store and was a longtime member of St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church. She adored doing crosswords and word puzzles and playing bridge with her many bridge groups. She especially enjoyed family trips in the Caribbean, Costa Rica and Arizona.
Together with Jack, Beth gave Nancy and John a deep love of boating, travel and card playing. Recently, her passions have been morning breakfast with her friends at the Blair Maple and having fun with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Beth is survived by her children: Nancy (Scott) Stork and John (Nora) Burge; grandchildren: Derek (Anna) Stork, Jarett (Katie) Stork, Justin (Bailey) Sork, Erika (Calvin) Lewis, and Jackson Burge; great grandchildren: Scott, Landry, Laramie, Stetson and Saylor Stork; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jack Burge, and siblings: John, Marge, William, Evelyn and Charlie.
Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
