Sharron Rae (Greer) Potadle was born on May 11, 1938, to Ralph and Vivian (Hollander) Greer of Omaha, Nebraska. She passed away on August 15, 2024, at Arbor Care Center in Tekamah, Nebraska.

Sharron attended Omaha North High School. She enrolled at Cottey Junior College in Nevada, Missouri, for two years and then graduated from the Municipal University of Omaha (UNO) with a degree in education.

Sharron married Jon Potadle, her husband of 64 years. They moved to Lincoln, Nebraska, where Sharon taught eighth and ninth grade English while Jon finished his degree. The couple moved to Herman, Nebraska, and Sharron became a stay-at-home mom until her children were in high school. She belonged to multiple organizations in the area. Sharron then went to work for the Blair Enterprise and finally for State Farm Insurance before retiring.

Sharron enjoyed singing, playing piano and playing the guitar. But, most of all, playing with her kids, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Vivian Greer; brother, Larry Greer and grandson, Jackson Potadle.

She is survived by her husband, Jon Potadle; sons, Eric (Jennifer) Potadle; Kurt (Marti) Potadle; grandchildren: Erica (Dustin) Franklin, Luke (Mariah) Potadle; Grant (Charlee) Potadle; Greer (Matt) Brodsack; Garrison Potadle and Adelyn Potadle; great-grandchildren: Brooklyn and Brylee Franklin; Weston Potadle; Gil, Hoxie and Bennie Jane Potadle.
