Rosemond Loretta (Puffer) Sell was born to Linton Sr. and Blanche (Peck) Puffer on November 26, 1939, in rural Tekamah, Nebraska. She passed away on August 13th, 2024, at Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Blair, Nebraska, with family by her side.
Rose attended Tekamah-Herman Elementary and High School and graduated in 1957. She married Donald Adams in 1958 and raised their six children in the Modale, Iowa, area. She remarried in 1996 to James Sell, whom she adored. They lived out their last years together in Modale.
Rose was a devoted housewife who also worked to support the family. She held various jobs, such as babysitting, hoeing beans and waitressing, before starting her career at the power plant in 1979. Throughout this career, she traveled around the US, working as a senior health physics technician. She loved the freedom and meeting new friends on each journey.
Rose loved shopping, eating out, dancing, traveling, playing cards and cooking for her family. Her greatest joys in life were seeing the faces of her family from both sides of the marriage, including the many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Rose is survived by her children: Susan Kuhn; Debra (Roger) Merriman; Kathi Wood; Doug Adams and Kory Adams. Stepchildren: Rick (Lynette) Sell; Jim (Judy) Sell; Terry (Mona) Sell; Shari (Lee Schiff) McFerrin; Randy Sell and Lori (Mike) Walker. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren, from both sides of the family, and nieces and nephews.
Rosemond was preceded in death by her parents, Linton Sr., Roy and Blanche Watkins; husbands, James and Donald; son, Phillip; granddaughter, Jenae; stepdaughter, Kristi; brothers- and sisters-in-law: Linton Jr. and Ruth; Marion and Phyllis; Russell and Phyllis and Wanda.
Special thanks to CHI Hospice, Good Shepherd, Nye Legacy and Kim Sell for helping take such great care of Rose during these last few months.
FUNERAL SERVICE: Monday, August 19, 2024, 11:00 am at United Methodist Church in Tekamah, NE
VISITATION: Sunday, 4-6 pm, at Pelan Funeral Services Tekamah
BURIAL: Tekamah Cemetery in Tekamah, NE
