Kenneth William Hinman, age 75 of Blair, passed away peacefully August 16, 2024, at his home, surrounded by his family.

Memorial services will be held Friday, August 23, 2024, at 8 a.m. at Campbell Aman Funeral Home in Blair. Military graveside services will follow at 10 a.m. at Omaha National Cemetery. A visitation will be held Thursday, August 22, 2024, at Campbell Aman Funeral Home in Blair from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Kenny was born Dec. 12, 1948, in Crofton, Nebraska, the son of Kenneth G. and Dolores Hinman. He was raised in Crofton and graduated from Crofton High School. In 1969 Kenny began serving in the United States Army, working in communications and served until his honorable discharge in 1971.

On Dec. 17, 1975, he was united in marriage to Kathy VanSeveren. The couple lived in Crofton for two years before moving to LaVista and residing there for many years. In LaVista, Kenny began his career as a fabricator. The family later moved to Persia, Iowa, where Kenny began his own business, Midwest Fabricators. When Kenny retired from the fabrication business, he and Kathy relocated to Blair to be closer to their children and grandchildren. Kenny enjoyed gardening, fishing, golfing, watching movies and especially spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Kenny is survived by his wife, Kathy; sons: Terry Hinman (Christy), Tim Hinman (Becky) and Matt Hinman (Ambir Leehy); grandchildren: Taylor, Zach, Aaron, Leah, Tyson and Payten; brothers: Larry Hinman and Lonnie Hinman (Nanci), sister-in-law LaDonna Hinman, brother-in-law Joe (Donna) VanSeveren, sister-in-law Debbie Neussendorfer (Charlie), sister-in-law Ellen VanSeveren, brother-in-law Eddie John VanSeveren, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Kenny was preceded by his parents, brothers Gary Hinman and Dennis Hinman, sister Mary Hinman and sister-in-law Sherry Hinman.
