Allen, Martha Marie, age 90 of Blair, Ne.

Born: April 16, 1934, Council Bluffs, IA.

Died: October 2, 2024, Fort Calhoun, NE.

Martha was born in Council Bluffs, IA, and grew up on a farm in Rupert , Idaho. She graduated from Dana College with a degree in education, where she met the love of her life, Mark Allen. She taught for many years in Omaha Public Schools. Throughout her life she loved animals, farming, gardening, and crocheting. She and Mark were both state hand cornhusking champions for several years, and she was passionate about the sport as it kept historic agricultural practices alive.

Martha Marie Allen went home to her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, surrounded by family.

Martha was preceded in death by her brothers, Phillip Emil Jacobsen I, Phillip Emil Jacobsen II, sister Rhoda Christensen.

She is survived by her husband, Mark Allen, Blair, NE, daughter, Angie (Pat) Boyd, Fort Calhoun, NE, Mitch (Abby) Allen, Denver, CO, Mike (Karen) Allen, Ayr, NE, Matthew (Debbie) Allen, Omaha, NE, grandchildren, Ryan (Brooke) Boyd, Brandon (Dani) Boyd, Katelynn (Stephen) Schmidt, Whitney Allen, Rhett Allen, Jake (Tania) Allen, Sarah Allen, Emma Allen, 9 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

VISITATION: 5:00-7:00 pm Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Church.

FUNERAL SERVICE: 10:30 am Thursday, October 10, 2024, also at church, immediately followed by a luncheon and interment at 12:30 pm at Allen Pioneer Cemetery.

INTERMENT: Allen Pioneer Cemetery.
