Mitchell E. Kephart, age 61 of Blair, passed away October 12, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family. A celebration of life will be held Wednesday, October 16, 2024, from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Kennard Auditorium in Kennard, Nebraska.

Mitch was born July 25, 1963, in Blair, Nebraska, the son of Harold Melvin and Colleen Kay (Moore) Kephart. He was a lifelong resident of Blair and graduated from Blair High School in 1982. On October 3, 1992, he was united in marriage to Donnette Lautrup in Blair. Mitch loved riding his Harley, but his true passion was always music. Over the years he played in several bands with family and friends. He loved jamming whether it be singing, playing guitar or the drums. Mitch truly loved going out on the road with his best friend Tom, traveling the United States playing music.

He is survived by his wife Donnette of Blair; daughters: Amanda (Zach) Edwards of Lawson, Missouri; Tokeca (Ryan) Kephart of Altoona, Iowa; and Haylee Kephart of Liberty, Missouri; grandchildren: Josilynn and Benjamin Edwards; father: Harold (Wanda) Kephart of Council Bluffs, Iowa; sister Kelli (Wayne) Caddell of Blair; brother Hal (Alicia) Kephart of Arlington, Nebraska; father-in-law Don (Carol) Lautrup of Blair; uncles: Beaner (Rosie) Moore, Dale (Judy) Moore and Vinton (Norma) Kephart; aunt: Shad Moore; 3 brothers-in- law; 2 sisters-in-law; many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and countless friends and fans.

He was preceded in death by his mother Colleen Kay Kephart and mother-in-law Judy Rydberg.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Kephart family.
