Mildred J. "Mickey" Kloewer

May 24, 1935 - August 28, 2024

Mickey, daughter of Joseph and Kathryn (Wageman) Sonderman, was born on the family farm near Defiance, Iowa. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Peters Catholic Church in Defiance, where she remained a lifetime member.

When attending St. Paul High School, she was a very good basketball player. She graduated with the class of 1952. After graduation, she attended beauty school and graduated in 1953.

Mickey married her high school sweetheart, Don Kloewer, on April 11, 1955. There were three children born to this union: Denny, Dean and Diane.

Preceded in death by: husband, Donald Kloewer, son, Dean Kloewer, parents, Joe and Kathryn Sonderman, brothers, Harry, Jim and Leo Sonderman, granddaughter, Heather Kloewer, brothers-in-law, Harold Schulte, Earl Powers, sister and brother-in-law, Alice and Richard Kloewer, sisters-in-law, Dian Sonderman, Lois Sonderman and Gemma Sonderman.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Denny (Denise) Kloewer, Irwin, IA, daughter, Diane (Stu) Sprick, Fort Calhoun, NE, sisters, Marcy Powers, Defiance, IA, Pearl Schulte, Westphalia, IA, Jane (Jerry) Tremel, Dunlap, IA, brother, George Sonderman, Defiance, IA, grandchildren, Jeromy Kloewer, Keri Ahrenholtz, Tony Sprick, Alex (Amber) Sprick, great-grandchildren, Conner and Marshall Kloewer, Dakota Cadwell, Ryley and Ryan Ahrenholtz, and Everly Sprick, great-great-grandchildren, Elliana and Layla Kloewer and Ruby Cadwell.
