MOTHER OF FOUR OMAHA SCHOOL TEACHERS DEAD
Mrs. Sarah Bracken, 70, Former Woman of Blair, Succumbs to Long Illness
Mrs. Sarah Bracken, 70, of 4913 Chicago Street, Omaha, Nebraska, died at her home Thursday night, after a long illness. Mrs. Bracken, a former resident of Blair, Nebraska, was the mother of ten children, seven girls and three boys. Four of the daughters are teachers in the Omaha public schools. Angeline teaches in the upper grades at the Dundee school. Ora is seventh-grade teacher at Comenius school. Ruth is a member of the Saunders school faculty, and Helen is with the Clifton Hill school.
A fifth daughter, a professional nurse of San Francisco, has been at the bedside of her mother during the illness. One of the sons, William N., is employed in the Brandeis store.
Mrs. Bracken was the wife of W.M. Bracken, retired employee of the Omaha road at Blair.
Funeral services will be held in the Free Methodist church at Blair Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock. Burial will be in the Blair cemetery.
