George H. Martens was born on Sept. 1, 1931, and passed on Oct. 20, 2024, in Payson, Arizona, in a group home under the care of Hospice.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty, and son, Terry. He was also preceded in death by his parents, George and Marie, brother Walter and sisters, Elsie and Edna.

He is survived by his sister, Helen Granquist, son Steve (Cheri) Martens and two daughters, Kathy (Kim) Fleischman and Barbara (Michael) Ernst, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

George had an extremely full life, and will be missed everyday. Please raise your glass to George one more time.

Services will be June 9, 2025, at 11 a.m. at the Blair Cemetery in Blair, Neb.
