Dorothy Marie Jenkins 94, passed away on November 12, 2024 at Providence Place in Fremont.

Dorothy was born on October 17, 1930 in Omaha, NE, to Clifford and Marie (Henninger) Hubbell.

Dorothy married David Jenkins in Papillion, NE on September 1, 1964. Together they moved to rural Arlington in 1967. She worked for the Omaha School Board as an administrative assistant. She also waitressed at Kenny’s Steakhouse; worked at Sidles Company of Omaha, and Rhea Cattle Company for 20 yrs until her retirement in 1993.

She was a member at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Arlington, NE. Dorothy was also a leader of the Bell Creek EZ Riders 4-H Club and a member of the Nebraskaland Spinning Spokes, Tri-County Saddle Club and Arlington Saddle Club. She had a passion for horses.

Dorothy is survived by sons, John Jenkins of Omaha, Jerry Jenkins of Fremont; and Dan (Edilia) Jenkins of North Bend; daughters, Cathy Driver of Ames, Elaine (George) Duncan of Delta, CO, and Ellen (Jess) Cross of Decatur, TX; 15 grandchildren; and 28 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, David Jenkins; daughter, Carla; grandchildren, David Hall, Jeff Cross, Carol Cross; brother Art Hubbell and daughter in law, Mary Jenkins.

The funeral will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, November 21, 2024, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Arlington. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Wednesday, at Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home in Arlington and continue one hour prior to the service at the Church.

Burial will be at Westlawn Hillcrest Cemetery in Omaha at 2:30 PM.

Memorials may be directed to the Fremont Alzheimer's Association.
