Timothy Edward Young, age 66, passed away Nov. 27, 2024, at his home in Blair. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at First Lutheran Church in Blair.

Tim was born on April 21, 1958, in Omaha, Nebraska, the son of John and Peggy Young. He was raised in Blair, one of five children. Tim graduated from Blair High School in 1976. After high school, he attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, earning his bachelor’s degree in business administration.

In Lincoln, he met his future wife, Julie VanOudheusden. The couple were married on Dec. 19, 1987, in Sioux City. Tim and Julie lived in Scottsdale, Arizona, where Tim worked as a stockbroker. While in Scottsdale, the couple welcomed their three children: John, Ben and Maggie.

In 1996, the family moved to Blair. Tim enjoyed fishing at Lake of the Woods and following Husker Football. Over the years, Tim truly had a passion for coaching his children in all their sporting events. He loved being a grandfather to his four grandsons, with one on the way.

Tim is survived by his wife, Julie; children: John (Kelcy) Young, Ben (Steph) Young, Maggie Young and fiancé Tim Stoltenberg; grandsons: Brooks, Hudson, Miles and Ford; father, John Young; siblings: Rusty Young, Pam (Troy) Niday, Teri (John) Guhl, Beth (John) Clarke; along with nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Peggy.
