Gilbert Lee Doeden, age 77, longtime resident of Lakeland Estates, passed away December 18, 2024. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Gil was born on November 30, 1947, in Nebraska City, Nebraska, to Hank and Edith Doeden. He grew up in the Valley, Nebraska, area, graduating from Valley High School in 1966. After graduation, Gil worked for North Central Airline in Chicago for several years. He then retired to Omaha and worked at Vickers Hydraulics until the plant closed in 2000. Later he worked at Election Systems and Software in Omaha until his retirement in 2014.

Gil is survived by his wife, Carol Doeden; sons: Mike and Bill; five grandchildren; sister Carlene Steere of Omaha; and sister-in-law Gwen Doeden. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and three brothers.
