Mrs. Mary (Stricklett) Smith, 79, long a resident of Blair, Nebraska, died Monday at her home on North Walker Avenue in Blair. She had long been in failing health.

The funeral was held at the Campbell Mortuary yesterday at 2pm, with the Rev. H.C. Jorgensen of First Lutheran Church officiating. Interment followed in Blair Cemetery.

Mrs. Smith, as Mary Catherine Worley, was born at Ida Grove, Iowa, October 6, 1874, daughter of Elijah and Priscilla Worley. The family came to Blair many years ago.

Mrs. Smith is survived by three sons, Gail E. (Happy) Stricklett of Blair, Thomas Smith of Cheyenne, Wyoming, and Fred Smith of Omaha. Other survivors include a sister, Mrs. Effie Epling of Fullerton, California; three grandchildren and one great-grandson.
