Lorraine Lana Moore, age 90 of Blair, passed away peacefully Friday January 17, 2025, at Carter Place in Blair, where she had resided for the last 3 years. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 25, at 10:30 a.m. at Campbell Aman Funeral Home in Blair. A luncheon will be held following the services at the Blair South Fire Station. Visitation will be held Friday, January 24, with family receiving friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Campbell Aman Funeral Home.

Lorraine was born on August 30, 1934, the daughter of William and Ruby (Christo) Lesline. She started kindergarten at Linwood, and later attended Harris Grove East, located near the Lesline Family Century Farm. Lorraine moved to Logan and lived with an aunt and uncle and attended one year of high school there. She then moved to Blair with another aunt and uncle and attended her sophomore and junior year at Blair High School, and later earned her GED.

On September 5, 1952, she was united in marriage to Edward Moore and the couple was blessed with four children: Randy, LeAnn, Cathy and Edward. In 1972 the couple divorced and Lorraine moved back to the Logan area with her family, raising the two younger children. While in Logan, she worked at Horton Nursing home and later she worked mornings at the Logan Motel and the afternoons at the Logan Locker. In 1994 she purchased a home in Herman, Nebraska, and worked at Wilkinson's Manufacturing in Fort Calhoun. She later worked at the Blair Hospital in the housekeeping department for 20 years before her retirement at age 80.

Lorraine will always be remembered as a great mother and grandmother to her family, and loving friend to any child. She loved spending time with children, especially babies. Lorraine and her siblings grew up in hard times, but were always there for each other.

She is survived by her children: LeAnn Forsen, Cathy (Gene) Barber and Edward Moore, and daughter-in-law Dawn Moore; grandchildren: Trisha Forsen, Tafida (Luke) Jones, Jeffery (Kris) Forsen, Jesse Moore, Melynda (Jeff) Schutte, Levi Moore, Trent (Tiffany Naberhaus) Barber, Tyler (Kayla Henderson) Barber, Wyatt Moore and Eli Moore, 23 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by her sisters Bonnie Maines, Billie Fox, Sharry (David) Ringler, Flocelia (Dan) Kinney, brother-in-law Leewane Hagerbaumer, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, and her caretakers and family at Carter Place.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son Randy Moore, son-in-law Jeff Forsen, brother Frank Lesline, sisters Donna (Arnold) Dickman, Ruby Hagerbaumer and brothers-in-law John Maines and Ike Fox.
