Rites Held For Swaburg Citizen

Swaburg - Julius Andersen, a life-long resident of the Swaburg community, passed away suddenly Sunday noon at the home of his sister, Mrs. Alfred Andersen, where he had been taken for care last week following a recent illness. He had been in failing health the past two months.

The son of a pioneer Danish family, the late Mr. and Mrs. James Andersen, the deceased was born on the farm here June 5, 1890, and had attained the age of 55 years, 7 months and 15 days. During the past 20 years he had made his home with his brother, Albert, with whom he was associated in farming.

His parents, a brother and a sister preceded him in death. He is survived by the brother, Albert, and sister, Mrs. Alfred Andersen, and by two nephews, Alvin and Leroy Olsen, all of the Swaburg community.

Funeral services directed by Wollmer & Warne of Hooper were held at the Elim Lutheran church Wednesday afternoon with Rev. Drell E. Bernhardson as the officiating pastor. Interment was made in the Andersen family plot in the Danish Lutheran cemetery at Admah.

Music for the services was by Mr. and Mrs. John Monson and Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Nyquist with Mrs. Alvis Petersen as organist. Harry, Glen and Arthur Johnson, Clifford and Edward Mallette and Philip Axelson served as pallbearers.
