Wilbur Conety, age 87, passed away in Tekamah on January 27, 2025. Memorial services will be held Friday February 7, 2025, at 1 p.m. at Campbell Aman Funeral Home. Military graveside services will follow in the Herman Cemetery.

Wilbur was born on November 24, 1937, to Wilbur and Ruth (Lowe) Conety. He graduated from Herman High School in 1955 and proudly served in the United States Marine Corps following his graduation. After his honorable discharge, Wilbur joined the International Union of Operating Engineers and worked as a crane operator until his retirement in 2000. He also had a passion for farming and took great joy in raising sweet corn.

Wilbur is survived by his daughter, Vicky (Rodney) Kellogg; granddaughter, Megan (Greg) Hennigs; grandson, Austin Kellogg; and great-grandchildren, Vinny and Violet Hennigs.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Brian Conety.
