FUNERAL: 10:30 a.m. Friday Feb. 21st St. Paul's Lutheran Church Arlington. VISITATION: Thursday 5 to 7 p.m. at Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home Arlington.

Survived by wife, Cheryl; daughter, Michelle Frickenstein; son, Michael (Sarah); brother, Roger (Jean) Fuchs; five grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Melinda (Steve) Sergeant.

Robert L. Fuchs 81 of Arlington, NE, passed away Wednesday February 12, 2025, at Nebraska Medicine in Omaha. He was born July 22, 1943, in Fremont to Oswald and Leona (Hagerbaumer) Fuchs. He was the 100th baby born at the old Fremont Hospital.

He grew up and lived his entire life in and around Arlington. He graduated from Arlington High School in 1961 and then served in the Nebraska Army National Guard from 1961 to 1969. He married Cheryl Penke on April 8, 1967, in Omaha, NE.

Robert was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Arlington and his faith was very important to him. He was a lifetime member of the Fremont Car Club and 40-year member of the American Legion Post No. 71 of Arlington. He enjoyed going to car shows with his ’61 Ford. After church he liked to take Cheryl on trips to nearby wineries and just relax and enjoy each other’s company.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gene (Mary) Fuchs and sister, Arlyce (Charles) Olsen.

Robert is survived by his wife, Cheryl; daughter, Michelle Frickenstein of Fremont; son, Michael (Sarah) Fuchs all of Arlington; brother, Roger (Jean) Fuchs of Portland, OR; 5 grandchildren, Grant and Paige Frickenstein, Aaron, Erica and Isaiah Fuchs; sister-in-law, Melinda (Steve) Sergeant of Elkhorn and nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be 10 :30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 21, 2025, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Arlington. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home Arlington. Interment with Military Honors will be at St. Paul’s Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the church.
