David Allen Pence, age 69 of Blair, passed away February 14, 2025, at Immanuel Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. Funeral Services will be held Friday, February 21, 2025, at 10 a.m. at Campbell Aman Funeral Home in Blair. Graveside services will follow in the Blair Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday February 20, 2025, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Campbell Aman.
David Allen Pence was born June 29, 1955, in Blair, Nebraska, to Kenneth and Clarice (Ryan) Pence. He attended and graduated from Blair Community Schools in 1973. He was a longtime employee of Kelly Ryan Equipment, working for the company for 35 years.
David began a deep and lasting belief in the spiritual power of AA many years ago. He was very proud of his 33 years of sobriety. He was actively involved in the local AA meetings; he manned the AA hotline for many years, and he held officer positions at the AA regional organizational level.
Dave treasured spending time with his son, along with vacationing in Colorado, going on country road drives and reading.
He is survived by his son, Kenneth David Pence, and many extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorials may be directed to the Blair Volunteer Rescue Squad.
