A sudden heart attack claimed the life of L. Herman Larson, 48-year-old grocery store owner, on Monday. He had been ill since late Saturday.

A resident of Blair for 21 years, Mr. Larson was a meat-cutter in the employ of T.A. Bohs (now retired from the grocery store business) for nine years. Over a 12-year period, he operated a grocery store in partnership with his brother, Russell Larson, and for the past three years he has been sole owner-operator of the Larson Grocery Store.

Mr. Larson was born at Oakland on Sept. 1, 1896. On Oct. 31, 1923, he was married to Edythe M. Rile of Geneva. They are the parents of two sons, Ensign Billy Lou Larson in the Navy, and Robert, 9, at home.

Surviving besides the widow and children are his mother, Mrs. Andrea Larson of Wiser, Idaho; three brothers, Martin of Wiser, Idaho, Allen of Los Angeles, and Russell of Omaha; two sisters, Mrs. Jessie Gatzemeyer of Omaha, and Mrs. Helena Wetjen of Oakland, California.

Funeral rites for the businessman are to be held this afternoon, Thursday, at 2p.m. from Campbell’s Mortuary. The Rev. Sidney McCaig, Methodist minister, will have charge of the service. Burial will be made in the Blair cemetery.
