FARM WOMAN DEATH VICTIM

MRS. EMERALD VAN BEEK, 44, BURIED SUNDAY; LEAVES TWO CHILDREN

Mrs. Emerald VamBeek, 44-year-old Blair farm wife and mother of two young children, died last Friday in St. Joseph’s hospital in Omaha. She had been in poor health for some time prior to her death.

Funeral services were held at Bendorf Funeral Home Sunday afternoon, with the Rev. H.C. Jorgensen officiating. Interment was in Blair cemetery.

As Lillie Brodersen, Mrs. Van Beek was born at Herman on August 27, 1900, the daughter of Mrs. And Mrs. Paul Brodersen. She was married to Emerald Van Beek on Jan. 25, 1928, and the couple lived for several years at Herman. During the last two years they have farmed in the Gardner school district, west of Blair.

Surviving Mrs. VanBeek are her husband and two children, Norman and Betty; her mother, Mrs. Annie Brodersen, and two sisters, Mrs. Hans Mathiesen of Herman and Mrs. Jens Krogh of Kennard.
