John Charles Olsen, age 81 of Blair, passed away February 19, 2025 at Bergan Mercy Hospital in Omaha. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, April 5,2025 at 11:00 AM at Campbell Aman Funeral Home. Military honors will follow at the Blair Cemetery with a gathering afterwards at the Blair VFW.

John was born January 17, 1944 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska the son of Etlar and Helen Olsen. In 1949 John moved with his family to Blair, where he attended and graduated from Blair Community Schools. After high school he began working in the construction trades. After serving in the United States Army in Korea and graduating from UNO he was employed with Omaha National Bank, he was employed with the bank for 32 years. He later began working with Physicians Mutual in Omaha and then retired.

During his retirement he enjoyed riding his motorcycle and attending car shows, but he especially treasured the time spent with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his children, Jessica (Jim) Stephens and Ted (Rita) Olsen, grandchildren; Devon (Mazie) Reeh, Chase Olsen, Kade Olsen and Rain Olsen, 6 great grandchildren, siblings; Tom (Nancy) Olsen, Ed (Judi) Olsen, Karen Orcutt and Donald (Maria) Olsen, along with nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and nephew Cody Olsen.
