A PRIVATE FAMILY INTERMENT: At Herman Cemetery at a later date.

Jon G. Potadle was born on July 2, 1938, in Omaha, Nebraska, to Gilbert O. And Leona (McDonald) Potadle. He passed away on February 20, 2025, at his home in Herman, Nebraska.

Jon was a graduate of Herman High School before serving with the 502nd Infantry of the 101st Airborne Division after which he graduated from the University of Nebraska and returned to the farm, where he spent the remainder of his life.

Jon had a love for coaching baseball, fishing and farming.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Donelle Ege; grandson, Jackson; and his wife of 64 years, Sharron.

He is survived by his sons, Eric (Jen) Potadle and Kurt (Marti) Potadle; grandchildren, Erica (Dustin) Franklin, Luke (Mariah), Grant (Charlee), Greer (Matt) Brodsack, Garrison and Adelyn; great-grandchildren, Brooklyn and Brylee Franklin, Gil, Hoxie, and Bennie Potadle, Weston and Kali Potadle, and Dean Brodsack.
