Margaret M. Zimmerman

October 20, 1924 - February 22, 2025

Margaret M. Zimmerman, age 100, of Omaha, passed away in Blair, NE, on February 22, 2025.

Margaret was born in Council Bluffs, IA, on October 20,1924, to the late Alfred and Gertrude (Larson) Head. She graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1942 and was united in marriage to John P. Zimmerman on June 2, 1946, and together raised their daughter Diann and son Dennis. Margaret was a long time and active member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church and later in life enjoyed working at Mangelson's in Omaha displaying her very crafty ways.

In addition to her parents, Margaret is preceded in death by her husband, John in 2009; grandson, Tyler Zimmerman; great-grandson, Nic Zimmerman; and daughter-in-law, Gail Newman.

Survivors include daughter, Diann VanHouten and husband Randy, of Blair; son, Dennis and wife Rachel, of Arizona; grandchildren, Keri Mickellsen and husband Rolf, of Denmark, Lauren and Blake Zimmerman, of Arizona, Travis VanHouten and wife Shannon, of Blair; great-grandchildren, Montana and Montgomery Zimmerman, Jolie and Tristen Mickellsen, Hunter VanHouten and Ryder Zimmerman.

VISITATION: Friday, 10 to 11 a.m., followed by FUNERAL SERVICE at 11 a.m., at Cutler O'Neill Funeral Home. Pastor Doug Rothgeb of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, will officiate. Interment in Cedar Lawn Cemetery. Family will direct memorials.
