Lisa’s radiant spirit left us on February 24, 2025. A memorial gathering to commemorate her life will be held at Campbell Aman Funeral Home in Blair on Wednesday, March 5, from 6 to 8 p.m. where all who loved her can join in cherishing her remarkable life.

Lisa Ann Schrum was born in Omaha on June 2, 1961, attended Benson High School, and spent most of her life in Blair, Nebraska. She graduated with a doctorate in veterinary medicine from Iowa State University in 1987. As a deeply compassionate veterinarian, Lisa's career was not just a job but an embodiment of her huge heart and love for all creatures. Quick with a joke and a smile, her infectious humor will forever be remembered by all who knew her.

Lisa is survived by her brothers, John (Glenwood, IA) and Lynn Schrum (Rio Communities, NM), her cousins, nieces, nephews, and countless friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Helmut and Irma Schrum. Lisa's legacy will continue to resonate in the hearts of her surviving family.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations in her name be made to the Holstein Veterinary Clinic in Blair to help pay the bills of those unable to afford care for their pets.
