Jeff Yeager, a devoted husband, loving father, brother and grandfather, passed away on March 5, 2025, in Blair, NE, at the age of 67. Born in Omaha on February 5, 1958, Jeff left a lasting impact on the lives of all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Sondra, and his brother, Craig. He is survived by his wife, Rebecca; Children, Josalynn (Yeager) & Dave Swan, Elisha (Yeager) & Mike Tinker, and Leah (Yeager) & Trevor Wiskus; Grandchildren, Asher and Keelynn, Carson, Lillian and Harrison, and Landon, Eli, and Olivia; and sister Terri (Yeager) & Jeff Allen and brother Chris.
Jeff proudly served in the United States Navy, where he developed a strong sense of duty and service that he carried throughout his life. After his military service, he worked at the OPPD Nuclear Power Plant, dedicating himself to ensuring the safety and efficiency of the facility.
In his spare time, he was an avid beekeeper. He took great joy in teaching friends and family about how fascinating bees are and enjoyed providing honey to the community.
He loved hunting and fishing and would find solace in the quiet rhythms of nature. He enjoyed spending time with his kids, grandkids and his wife, Rebecca, the love of his life. Above all, his love for the Lord Jesus guided him in his daily life, inspiring him to serve others with kindness and compassion.
He was known for his playful humor and could effortlessly strike up a conversation with anyone he met, leaving a lasting impression on all who crossed his path.
A celebration of his life will be held at Lifegate Church on March 13, 2025, at 11 a.m. with a reception after. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lifegate “Love Gives” Fund in his honor.
His legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched. His family will cherish the memories of his love, laughter and unwavering commitment to serving others.
