George Lund, 97, of Blair, Nebraska, died Sunday, November 18, 2001, at Bethany Lutheran Home in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
He was born October 18, 1904 in Steinberg, Germany. He came to the United States in December, 1928. He married Christine Witthinrich November 28, 1931 in Omaha, Nebraska. He ran a dairy farm in Kennard for many years before retiring to Blair.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Farm Bureau and several clubs.
Survivors include two daughters, Betty (Mrs. Louis) Nelson of Council Bluffs and Helen (Mrs. Roy) Burmeister of Arlington, Nebraska; a sister-in-law, Lene Langmaack of Rumohr, Germany, and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife and four siblings.
The funeral will be at 10:30am Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Bliar. Visitation will be 6:30-8pm Thursday at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home in Blair. Burial will be in Blair Cemetery in Blair.
A memorial has been established to Trinity Lutheran Church.
