Christiansen Rites Held Tuesday
Funeral services were held Tuesday at the First Lutheran Church,
Oakland, for Mrs. J. R. Christiansen, age 89, Pastor H. C.
Jorgensen was in charge with interment at West Admah cemetery under
the direction of Wollmer & Warne. Music was furnished by Roger
Stricklett, soloist, accompanied by Mrs. Glen Anderson, at the
organ. Pallbearers were J. R. Christiansen, David Greenwood,
Richard Greenwood, Donald Hansen, Eugene Hansen and Richard
Petersen.
Mrs. Christiansen was formerly of the Admah community and was
united in marriage to Mr. Christiansen September 12, 1885. They
made their home on a farm and six years ago moved to Oakland.
Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. N. A. Greenwood, Craig, Mrs.
Thorwald Petersen, Herman, Mrs. Leslie Lauersen, Oakland; three
sons, Calvin, Craig, E. R., Fremont, Wm. R., Fremont; eighteen
grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren. She was preceded
in death by her husband, two daughters and one son.
