Larry E. Wulf, age 85, of Hooper died Monday, April 14, 2025, at Nebraska Methodist Hospital in Omaha.
Larry was born July 22, 1939, in Omaha to Elmer and Evelyn “Andersen” Wulf. He was raised on the family farm near Bennington. He graduated from Blair High School.
After high school he went to UNL for two years then served two years in the Air Force before returning to UNL to finish his degree. While at UNL he was a member of the Farm House Fraternity.
Larry married Janelle Hagerbaumer on April 29, 1962, at Immanuel Lutheran Church east of Winslow. They moved to Iowa and lived in Storm Lake and Rockwell City where he worked for Farm Credit for a few years before returning to Nebraska in 1965, settling east of Winslow where they farmed until moving into Hooper in 2008. Larry remained active on the farm until his passing.
Larry was a very active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, holding many offices within the church and serving for many years on the Immanuel cemetery committee.
His past service included the Board of Directors for Farm Credit, the Logan View Board of Education, and he was a 4-H leader for many years. More recently, he was a member of the Logan East Rural Water Board where he has served for several years.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Judi Bennett and brother Lynn Wulf.
Visitation will be Friday with the family present from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Ludvigsen’s Hooper Funeral Chapel. The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church east of Winslow. Burial will follow in the Immanuel Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family.
