Liela Ann Matzen, age 78, of Blair, passed away June 30, 2025, at her home in Blair. Memorial services will be held Monday, July 7, 2025, at 10 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Blair. Visitation will be held Sunday, July 6, 2025, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Campbell Aman Funeral Home in Blair.

Liela Ann Matzen, age 78 of Blair, passed away June 30, 2025, at her home in Blair. Memorial services will be held Monday, July 7, 2025, at 10 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Blair. Visitation will be held Sunday, July 6, 2025, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Campbell Aman Funeral Home in Blair.

Liela Ann Matzen was born September 4, 1946, in Harlan, Iowa, the daughter of William and Bertha Jorgensen. She was raised in Kennard and graduated from Blair High School in 1964.

On July 17, 1965, she was united in marriage to Robert Matzen at First United Methodist Church in Blair. Over the years she was employed at Western Electric, No Frills, WestCon and drove a school bus for Blair Community Schools.

Liela treasured the time she spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as a raccoon or two.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert “Bob,” and father-in-law and mother-in-law Georgia and Otto Matzen.

She is survived by her children: Deborah (Jeff) Brehm and Robert (Kari) Matzen; grandchildren: Karissa, Destrey, Sierra, Robert III, Hannah and Paisley; great-grandchildren: Vivian and Bentley; sister Betty (Les) Anderson; brother Bill (Mary) Jorgensen; sister-in-law Mardell Fink, along with several nieces and nephews.
