Bonnie Jean Christensen, age 86 of Blair, passed away July 30, 2025, at Crowell Memorial Home in Blair. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at Campbell Aman Funeral Home in Blair. Graveside services will follow in the Blair Cemetery.
Bonnie was born March 24, 1939, in Omaha, Nebraska, the daughter of Dairl and Vivian (Mannhalter) Claxton. She attended North High School in Omaha.
In 1956 she was united in marriage to Ed Vlcek and the couple were blessed with two sons, Lee and Richard.
She later married Edge Moore and the couple owned their own truck and drove over the road for years together. Bonnie became a widow when Edge passed due to cancer.
On February 19, 1994, she was united in marriage to Lyle Christensen at First Lutheran Church in Blair. Bonnie and Lyle enjoyed being winter Texans for over 19 years.
Bonnie will always be remembered for being a dedicated matriarch to her family. She truly loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Lee (Dawn) Vlcek and Richard (Pam) Vlcek, stepdaughter LeAnn Forsen, 11 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, 14 great-great-grandchildren; siblings Judy (Dale) Moore and Sherry Zwally, and sister-in-law Sue Claxton, along with several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Edge Moore and husband Lyle Christensen; siblings Douglas Claxton, Dale Claxton, Carolyn (Ramon) Valdez and brother-in-law Jerry Zwally.
Memorials may be directed to the Blair Volunteer Fire Department or the Blair Volunteer Rescue Squad.
