Randolph, Nebraska, August 27—Special to The News: Funeral services were held here Tuesday in St. John's Lutheran Church for Mrs. Mary Huff, 89, who died Sunday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Will Schutt, of near Sholes, Nebraska. The Rev. H.E. Huff officiated at the services and burial was Wednesday afternoon at Fort Calhoun.
Mrs. Huff was an invalid for the past eight years. She was an almost life-time member of the Lutheran church.
Mary Danger was born in Nahe, Germany April 13, 1852, and came to America in 1888, settling at Fort Calhoun. On September 12, 1891, she married Peter Huff of Randolph. They lived her for some time and then went to Council Bluffs to reside and later to Fort Calhoun, where they operated a fruit farm.
Mr. Huff died in 1919, and since then Mrs. Huff had resided with her children.
She leaves one son, William, Silver City, Iowa, one daughter, Mrs. Schutt; one sister in Germany; seven grandchildren and four great-granddaughters.
