Clara J. Gage, 79 of Fort Calhoun, died Thursday, July 2, 2009, in Omaha.

A funeral Mass will be held at 10:30a.m. Tuesday, July 7, at St. John the Baptist Catolic Church in Fort Calhoun. A Private inurnment will be held at the Fort Calhoun Cemetery at a later date.

Clara Joan Tietgen Gage was born Feb. 1, 1930, in Omaha. She lived her entire life in Fort Calhoun.

On Jan. 17, 1953, she married Stanley Gage in Omaha.

She is survived by her husband; sons and daughters-in-law, Duane and Mary Gage of Fort Calhoun, Brian and Angie Gage of Lincoln; daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Cliff Johnson of Fort Calhoun; grandchildren, Christopher Gage of Fort Calhoun, Siera (Gage) and Chris Madison of Lincoln, Maddie Gage and Camry Gage, also of Lincoln, America Johnson and Preston Johnson of Fort Calhoun; sister, Grace Werblow of Dodge; Sister-in-law, Helen Tietgen of Manley.

She was preceded in death by her five siblings, Freda Neuhaus, Wilma Petersen, Bill Tietgen, Donald Tietgen, Howard Tietgen.

Memorials are suggested to the Fort CAlhoun Fire and Rescue Squad, or St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Fort Calhoun.

Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation Monday 5-7 pm with Vigil Service at 7 pm at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Funeral Mass Tuesday 10:30am also at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Private inurnment. In lieu of flowers, Memorials to Ft. Calhoun Fire and Rescue or St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
