| From obituary printed in the May 9, 1902 Fremont Tribune
Mrs. J. C. Cook, who has suffered from peritonitis for several weeks, died at 1 o’clock this morning at her home, Fourteenth and Clarkson. An operation was performed on her at the Fremont hospital on April 12, but it proved ineffectual.
Mrs. Cook leaves a husband and two children.
The remains were taken to Arlington in a hearse this afternoon and will be buried there on Sunday.
