Earlene Frances (Reddick) Thornton of Blair passed away peacefully on Dec. 15, 2025. Services will be delayed until the spring of 2026. Earlene was born in Colorado and moved to Alaska by steam ship when she was 6 years old. Earlene grew up in Anchorage, Alaska, and graduated from East Anchorage High School in 1962.

She married an Air Force machinist, Bobby Thornton, from Tyler, Texas, who was stationed in Alaska as punishment after he angered an officer. After their three children moved away, they retired to Longview, Texas, and when Bobby passed away Earlene moved to Blair to be closer to her daughter.

Earlene is survived by her children, Carol (Kevin) Frahm, Robert Thornton and James (Larissa) Thornton and their children, sister Charlene Stout, brother James Reddick and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials in honor of Earlene may be made to Remnant Christian Church, 1529 Front Street, Blair, Nebraska, 68008. Services by Campbell Aman Funeral Home, Blair, NE.
