Burial at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Blair, Nebraska will take place at 2 PM that afternoon. Andy was born on March 25, 1931, in Sterling, CO, USA, and passed away on January 01, 2026, in his residence in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 94.

Andy was a humble and spirited soul who touched many lives with his kindness and loyalty. He was a loving father, grandfather, and a devout Catholic. A man of many talents, Andy held a Bachelor of Agriculture from Colorado A&M, a teaching qualification in History and Religion, and a drafting qualification. He devoted many years to drafting with civil engineering firms before retiring in 1994.

Andy married Mary Ann Meister on December 28th, 1968 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Carroll Iowa. Andy's life was a testament to his faith, as he said the rosary daily, served as an EMC, choir, and taught CCD at his church. A Cardinals fan, Andy also loved western movies, the movie "The Sound of Music", reading, playing the harmonica for his family, and dancing and listening to polka music. His favorite saying, "I'm hanging in there," reflected his zest for life and humble spirit.

Andy is survived by his daughters, Susan (Jeff) Hoefler, Fran (Alan) Tvrdy, and Julie (Paul) Herrera; his future son-in-law, Jeff (Susan) McCullough; his son-in-law, Alan (Fran) Tvrdy; his son-in-law, Paul (Julie) Herrera; and his grandchildren, Alex Coster, Annie Coster, Lillie Tvrdy, and Zach Tvrdy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Mary Hoefler; his beloved wife, Mary Ann Hoefler; and his siblings, Raymond, Sylvester, and Vincent Hoefler, Caroline Daise and her spouse Gene Daise and a brother-in-law Jack Tomlinson.

In the spirit of Andy's generosity and commitment to his church, donations may be made to St. Peter's Catholic Church, Sterling Colorado in his memory. "Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God." (Matthew 5:8) Arrangements provided by Campbell Aman Funeral Home, Blair.
