Steven Toby Suverkrubbe, age 71 of Blair, passed away February 12, 2026, at his home in Blair. Memorial services will be held Thursday, February 26, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Campbell Aman Funeral Home in Blair. Visitation will be held prior to services beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Steve was born on March 28, 1954, in Blair, Nebraska, the son of Russell and Phyllis (Andersen) Suverkrubbe. He attended Wranch Country School and later graduated from Blair High School in 1972. After his graduation from high school, he attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln graduating with a degree in zoology.

On December 18, 1982, he was united in marriage to Susan Schulze at Emmaus Lutheran Church in Kennard. The couple were later blessed with their son, Adam. Steve was employed with Barnhart Press in Omaha for over 30 years, working in the shipping and receiving department. He was a natural problem solver, with the ability to fix almost anything, a trait passed down from his father.

Steve enjoyed staying up to date on the news, watching sports, especially the Huskers, and attending Adam's sporting events and school functions. He will always be remembered for never having a problem starting up a conversation with anyone.

Steve is survived by his son Adam Suverkrubbe of Omaha along with several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Bob and Bruce Suverkrubbe; sister Susan Suverkrubbe; and his beloved dog Lucky.
