Robert J. Limbach, age 78 of Blair, passed away February 27, 2026, at his home in Blair. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Blair. Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 3, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. with a Vigil service at 7:00 P.M. at Campbell Aman Funeral Home in Blair.
Bob was born July 15, 1947, in West Point, Nebraska, the son of Frank and Mildred (Sebek) Limbach. He was raised in Howells, Nebraska, and attended and graduated from Howells High School in 1965.
Bob attended Wayne State College where he earned his degree in history and vocational education. On June 20, 1970, he was united in marriage to Linda Dostal at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Howells, Nebraska. The couple made their permanent home in Blair, where they raised their family and made incredible life-long friends.
In 1970 he began teaching at the Blair High School where he worked in the vocational department, building the drafting program. His dedication, humor, respectfulness and lasting impact on his students and peers continues to this day.
Bob was also very active donating his time to the Blair Little League, St. Francis Borgia Church and the Blair Community Schools.
Bob enjoyed woodworking, stamp collecting, reading, hunting & fishing, attending Creghton basketball games, Notre Dame football games and above all else, supporting his grandchildren in their various activities.
“Papa Bob” loved his family more than anything and never missed an opportunity to cheer on his grandchildren. His favorite family memories were extended family gatherings and family vacations and he was fortunate to have many of those cherished times.
Bob is survived by his wife Linda; daughter Lisa (Jeremy) Wolff and son Jason (Brooke) Limbach; grandchildren Hannah, Olivia, Brianna, Sydney, Jenae and Jackson and many cherished cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Mildred, and in-laws Herman & Arlene (Dirkschneider) Dostal.
Memorials may be directed to the family and will be divided between causes and programs close to his heart.
