Arlington—Services for Herman Stranghoener, 97, of Omaha, Nebraska, father of Alfred Stranghoener of Arlington, will be at 2pm Wednesday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Burial will be at St. Paul’s Cemetery. Services here for the former Arlington area resident will follow 10:30am services at the Lutheran Old Peoples Home at 520 South 26th, Omaha, where he died Monday.

Mr. Stranghoener, a retired farmer, was born at Westphalia, Germany on October 16, 1866. He came to the United States at the age of three, and spent most of his life in this area. At one time he resided in a rest home in Fremont.

Surviving in addition to Alfred are another son, Gilbert, of Omaha, a daughter, Mrs. Mary Stork of Omaha, and three grandchildren.
