Jeannine Jones, 97 years young, passed into eternity Wednesday June 17th. Graveside services will be held Saturday, June 20, 2026, at 11:00AM at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Audubon, Iowa.
Jeannine was born in Audubon, Iowa to Clark O. and Leona E. DuVall on June 5th, 1929. At 19 years old, she and a girlfriend drove to Denver, Colorado to start their adventure of life. Jeannine met Charles R. Jones, a young Air Force guy from Helena, AR and they married December 4th, 1950. They lived in various places; from Denver to Puerto Rico to Little Rock to Papillion, NE. During this time they had two kids, Mike and Susie. They were married 57 years before Charlie's passing in 2008. Jeannine loved life, loved Jesus, loved family, loved a good western and loved having a cold beer sitting on the porch. She was the eternal optimist that saw the good in everyone and everything.
Her memory will live on in her family. Jeannine leaves her daughter, Susie (Bob) Henricksen, daughter-in-law, Sherri Jones, grandkids, Moriah (Levi) Markwardt, Heidi (Nathan) Prottsman, Evan (Jason) Jones-Lucas, Eric (Chelsea) Henricksen; great-grandkids, Shaiten (John) Campbell & Brody Prottsman.
Jeannine was preceded in death by her husband and her son, Mike. She also leaves behind many friends she has made over the years and miles.
If you would like to see Jeannine again, there is only one way – His Name is Jesus!

Jeannine didn't like funerals. They did not fit into her positive, upbeat view of the world! Nonetheless, some of you will want to be present for this graveside service on Saturday. We know who Jeannine worshiped here on earth, and we know that she is now in heaven.
Rejoice! Give thanks. ~~~Pastor Mark Degner, Christ Lutheran Church
