Charlotte L. Ebel, 87, of South Sioux City, died June 1, 2007, at a Sioux City Hospital.

Graveside services were June 5 at the Dakota City Cemetery.

Charlotte L. Sharp was born March 11, 1920, in Homer to Frank and Anna (Knudsen) Sharp. She graduated from Homer High School.

On Oct. 9, 1943, she married Lyle E. "Tuffy" Ebel in South Sioux City. She was a lifelong resident of Dakota County. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church in South Sioux City.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Myra and Robert Jensen of Blair and Cheri and Dennis Wilde of Sioux City, Iowa; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tuffy, in July 2000; a brother Byron Sharp; sister, Frances Eriksen; and a great-granddaughter.
