Funeral services for Robert Jensen, 74, of Blair, were held Monday, Dec. 11, 2000, at First Lutheran Church. Interment was in the Blair Cemetery. Mr. Jensen died at his home on Thursday, Dec. 7, 2000.

Robert P. Jensen was born July 26, 1926, at Newell, Iowa, to Jack and Amelia (Mikkelsen) Jensen. He was raised in the Herman and Blair area, and graduated from Blair High School in 1943.

On Aug. 29, 1948, he married Delores Cain at Storm Lake, Iowa.

Mr. Jensen had been in the construction business during his lifetime, and had built St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church. He most recently was involved in the installation of underground cable for telephone and cable TV.

He is survived by his wife, Delores; one son and daughter-in-law, Arnie and Lois Jensen, Blair; daughters and sons-in-law, Susan Richardson, Blair, Lorrie and John Samson, Blair, Penney and Kurt Silvey, Omaha, Robin and Allen Riggs, Omaha, and 12 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Pearl Nelson, and a son-in-law, Marv Richardson.

Memorials are suggested to the Tree of Life, or the Washington County Cancer Association.
