Big Pasion Was Spending Time With Daughters
Tonn L. Penke, 46, died Sunday, Feb. 19, 2012, at Methodist Hospital in Omaha.
A time of remembrance will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home in Blair.
Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday, with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m.
Tonn Leslie Tolbert was born Sept. 16, 1965, in Coffeyville, Kan. She attended school in Buffalo, N.Y., until 1973. At that time, her parents moved to Blair. She was a graduate of the Blair High School Class of 1983.
She began working in 1988 for Blue Cross Blue Shield in Omaha. She was employed there for 20 years.
In 1990, she began dating Russ Penke and on Dec. 23, 1998, they were united in marriage in Blair. She enjoyed spending time boating and motorcycling. More recently, her big passion was spending time with her daughters, enjoying their select fastpitch softball games as a team mom.
She is survived by her husband, Russ, and three daughters: Shay, Raquell, and Phoenixx. She is also survived by her parents Don and Susan Tolbert; sister, Shonna Snow; nephew Devon Snow; grandmother, Delphia Frisbie; mother and father-in-law, Herman and Sidney Penke all of Blair; and brother- in-law, Reese Penke of Dallas, Texas.
